How do quotations work?

We use the pricing tables of the VPS/ASP (Swiss Association of Professional Voiceover Artists) and vd|s (Verband Deutscher Sprecher e.V.) as the starting point for our quotations. Every voice artist can determine his/her own pricing table. If you want, we can help you find the appropriate budget for each project.

Our voice actors are hand-selected according to our high standards.  We have no annual membership fee. We charge a commission on top of your standard price, and in return, we take care of selling your services and often providing other sound services such as mixing and editing. Delivery Standards

Guidelines

  • All voice actors go through a technical verification process to guarantee our high-quality recording standards.
  • Recordings should be captured using the broadcast standard or higher. 48Khz, 24 Bits.
  • High-quality microphones and preamps are required.
  • All recordings will have a detailed revision to catch any reading errors.
  • If needed, one of our affiliated studios can be used on-demand.
  • Voice actors should deliver the recordings without any compression or equalization. Let our team help you out. Just send it without reading errors or noises.

Frequent Questions

How much does it cost to be a member?

Being a member of Voice Hansa is completely free. We do not charge any annual fees. When delivering a voiceover job, we charge a variable commission on top of your fee. Often our customers choose to hire other services in parallel, such as editing and mixing. We have a strong commitment to contribute actively with the VPS/ASP (Vereinigung professioneller Sprecherinnen und Sprecher) and VDS (Verband Deutscher Sprecher e.V.) standards, honoring the best business practices.

Is there an exclusivity rule?

No. When you join our team, you are free to offer your services on other sites.

How do commissions work?

There is no fixed commission. Our margin may vary according to the reality of each job. We often perform services other than voiceover, and we calculate our commission based on estimated working time.

How much will I get paid?

We always work with your standard costs. When you register, you will answer a price questionnaire. If you want, we can help you by suggesting prices according to each client. For Swiss speakers, our standard is to follow the table of values suggested by VPS-ASP.

How are payments made?

It depends. Speakers residing in Switzerland or Brazil are paid by bank transfer as standard. For other countries, we adopt PayPal as a form of payment.

Do I need a PayPal account?

Only if you are a resident outside Brazil or Switzerland.

How long does it take to receive payment?

The default is to receive payment 30 days after the invoice is issued. If a customer needs more than 30 days to pay, this will be agreed before work begins.

Script and Intonation changes.

We always have common sense in mind. In the case of script changes, it is customary to charge an additional 50% for re-recording. In the case of intonation/performance adjustments, no additional fee is charged/paid.

Voiceover delivery time.

Speed is very important for our customers. Our quotes are usually answered in 1 hour or less. Whenever possible, voiceovers are delivered on the same day, or the next day. It is not customary to have deliveries on the weekend, but if a job appears you can assess whether it is in your interest to make a delivery on the weekend.
